A Brief Introduction

Hello there! I appreciate you taking the time to learn a little more about me. My name is Victor Sansing and I am an IT professional with over seven years experience within the industry. I have worked in B2B SaaS, healthcare, and RF engineering. I am excited to learn more about technology as I provide my support perspective to aid in document creation.

Regarding education, I have a B.S. in Computer Science from Indiana University of Pennsylvania and a M. Div. from Liberty University.

From the Top

My tech career began when I built my first computer in high school. The process was nerve-wracking as I assembled both a desktop, but also a passion.  With each component installed, my curiosity and desire to learn more increased. In each step, I faced a new challenge but resolved to see the device completed and operational. I still have that desktop, although it is horribly underpowered by current hardware standards.

Geek Squad Agent 137782

The next stop in my journey to where I am now is when I accepted a position as a Geek Squad Agent. I had some experience with customer service, having worked at a Country Club during high school and early college. I did not have sales experience, let alone handling customer issues with technology. While active as a Geek Squad Agent (they have this culture that you never stop being an agent, you go sleeper), I learned how to communicate to the average person. It was a shock at first going from a 300 level MIPS Assembly class in college to a older woman's Facebook issues. To quote Ross from Friends, "PIVOT!!!" I learned quickly how to communicate complicated concepts to a person who only cared if the device worked or not.

Technical Support Engineering

After some time at Geek Squad, I was presented with the natural progression from retail: corporate America. I landed a job with Coupa Software where I worked as  Technical Support Engineer. It is this role that first exposed me to technical writing. One of my responsibilities was to write knowledge base articles for the average user of the software. Leveraging my skills at Geek Squad, I learned I enjoyed writing these articles and editing outdated documents. My passion for technical writing began in this role and continues to grow today.

Technical Writing

In my current role, I create technical documents for the various RF products manufactured and designed by Quintech Electronics and Communications. These writings include manuals, quick start guides, and internal work instructions. I have also created Access Databases and written PowerShell scripts to aid in the automation of the position.
